Both side windows on my 28.5 cracked shortly after I had the enstaled by a marina. Does anyone have a source for factory windows and how to place them in without cracking? And why are the cracking????? HELP!

Bummer

What a disappointment! Probably too tight in the first place, not enough room for the black sealant to absorb shifting.

cracked windows

I have some experience with polycarbs and acrylics in architectural settings facing weather in the midatlantic states. These materials expand and contract a good deal in yearly temp. changes. I would expect that the yard failed to allow for sufficient crawl over temp variations at the fastening points, and this caused the cracking. Also,Iwould bet the ranch that the material they used was acrylic rather than polycarbonate. Tough to tell from here. Hope this helps. Regards, Cap'n Jim

If the marina installed 'em...

Seems to me that makes it the marina's problem, not yours. As others have said, the only possible explanation is, they cut 'em too tight to allow for any expansion. I'd make them replace 'em.
