ROB SCHMEHL

It's been a bad day, I just noticed a hairline crack proteuding from the middle of mast step toward the bow. The crack is about two inches long and may just be a gel coat crack, but the location has me a little worried. Is this a know problem of hunters or have i potentially done somethhing wrong? I am calling the yard tomarrow but and help would really be nice. There is a rather substantial rake in the mast could this have caused the problem? I also have a crack arount one of the stantions, how do you fix these, is it something for the yard or can i do it. Thanks, Thanks, Thanks, Rob S/V You Be U

DRILL A HOLE

Sorry to hear about the crack, The best way I have found to stop a crack is to drill a hole at the end of it before making any repairs. I have used the method a lot of times but never on fiberglass, check with Crazy Dave first he should know. Good Luck.

Mast Rake

Rob, all H35.5's have a pronounced mast rake. Have the yard check out your crack concern. I have numerous small cracks in the gel coat on the deck area of my 35.5.
