Does anyone know of screened or other material covers are made for these cubbyholes?

This one has a leak into the below lazarette. I have cleaned it out and will re-caulk it.
These also are great habitat for mud daubers and wasps.

A cover of some kind might keep the elements and some of the pests out.

Also, any recommendation on caulk? I don't know how clean I can get the crevice area, where the crack must be. Someone recommending resin, but not sure on that.

It would seem easy to make hatchcovers out of plywood with little feet on the inside bottom that hooked on to the bottom and then the weight of the hatch would keep them closed against the trim since it looks like the coaming angles outboard. A magnetic latch might also work but watch out for the compass going that route. It looks like they would fit in the cockpit locker when not in use. Having snap bases hitting you in the back when you leaned against the coaming there would not be pleasant.

If you have issues with wasps and stuff getting in the cubby. The canvas cover can be stuffed to fill the void like a pillow in the middle and a flat cover around the sides that snaps on.

Have someone 3d print some plastic ones with a lip that friction fits into the hole.

That was my plan before i bought a different boat.
