It was about a 3 year ROI for us. $1800 for the cover. Shrink wrap fees are all over the place. I've seen $10/foot up to $28/foot with the mast up. Having your own cover is a nice convenience as it goes on and comes off on your schedule.

Got ours from the Canvas Store. We had a good experience with them, but I've read conflicting reviews, YMMV. I can put it on and take it off by myself and it stores in the space of a large suitcase when not in use. They aren't as nice as Fairclough's, but we have 3 seasons on ours and it still looks like the day we got it.

The marina where i have winter storage won't shrink wrap with the mast up, I've seen it done, but they say there's to much chance of it coming undone with the shrowds and all. I like my cover that I can go inside anytime I like, and with the the oil prices going up so will the cost of shrink wrap. The cover should last at least another 10 years, I'm 68 so I'll never replace it again
