We own the boat (1988) just since april 2005 and are not to familiar with some aspects: The coupling is quite rusty and we think it should be replaced also because the shaftseal needs to be replaced. Since boat is not nearby and we are not able to measure the shaft etcc Questions are: - does someone knows the exact diameter of the shaft ? - any tips for a new coupling ? brand, type ? - any tips for replacing the seal ? Anyone here could guess
at the correct answers to your questions but until someone puts a micrometer on that propeller shaft and looks at the coupling and counts the bolts in it, they are just guessing because they have no way to know if it is the way it was built or if changes have been made.
