Bring clothing for hot HOT weather AND cold Cold COLD weather!!!!!
On one forth of July day, we were becalmed, sweating in bathing suits, sailed in fine weather for an hour or 2, had 2 reefs in, rail in the water and cold, wearing foul weather gear.
ALL IN THE SAME DAY!
She said I should add that Trader Joe's is a GREAT place to provision and one of the stores is a short walk from Pier 39. Don't forget it's the birthplace of two-buck-chuck wine.
You can anchor in Aquatic park and get a great photo of your boat in front of the big Ghirardelli Chocolates sign!
You can anchor in Richardson's Bay and do some super sight seeing around the area if you decide to dink in or catch a transient slip for a night.
