Sunny, nice South breeze, and if you look closely a little blue water. But I couldn't get there, the river is still solid. This is our little sailing ground on Lake Erie looking out the Huron river. The foreground is the Huron Yacht Club with the gas dock shack further out. At the head of the river you can make out the lighthouse. The picture was taken from the transom of my H37C sitting high in the parking lot. Leaving for Florida Sunday, maybe I can sail there.

you are like an alcoholic!

Ed: You remind me of an alcoholic! Go to the bar and try not to have a drink <g>. You go to the boat and try to think about not being on the water! PS: the retirement gettin' to you already?

It's hard. . .

to go weeks without seeing Ladylove. Then when the sun is out and there is a warm South breeze you can only dream. It's only ten minutes from my slip past that lighthouse. Then I can go anywhere in the world. Left to lakes Huron, Michigan, St. Clair, and Superior. Right to Ontario or the Erie Canal. For the brave there is the St. Lawrence straight to the north Atlantic. I guess retirement gives one too much time to think. Then there is slow Internet and no paycheck. But we'll manage. :)

Day's like this....

I get severe sailophobia. 45 degrees in the Detroit area today and all I can think of is going down, and painting my hull. Looks like your boat is stored in a really nice area. I'm in a parking lot at Toledo Beach Marina (on the west end). Can't see the lake from where I am located (maybe a good thing). FYI for all of you and other Hunter maniacs...March 13, and 14th at Toledo Beach Marina(Open House), Greg Emerson!! from Huntermarine takes questions on Hunter Sailboats. Also, Boat Buying 101, Maintaining your Aux Deisel, and Ten Most Common Mistakes in Sail Trim. Maybe you can make it Ed...Huron isn't all that far from Toledo (we are 9 miles north). If you come out, let me know, would love to meet you as we have communicated more than once. Think I'll add this announcement to another post.

Guess I'm jealous!

Ed: It is good to see that you are getting into this retirement thing. Maybe you need to find a winter hobby. Something like giving sailing lessons in Fl. for the winter or snow skiing. You will get the hang of it! Just think, only about a month until spring and about 2 months to the big splash! ENJOY!!!
