BTDT. Very scary to be on the water with all the drunk yahoos blasting off flare guns every 10 minutes and having the CG chase them down.

My buddy has a mooring there and we would always wait for everyone else to leave before jumping in the dinghy for the ride home.

My favourite winch/wench story: I friend had given me an old cabintop winch for my SJ24 several years ago. When I asked him what he wanted for it he replied a couple of bottles of wine. I was in the Liqour store with my younger daughter cashing out. The cashier was a very attractive lady who had been very friendly to me during the transaction to that point. When the total came up on the register display and at the same time as the cashier was bending over to get a bag, my daughter commented " not bad for an old winch" You could see the icicles form!!
