Catalina Owners should not Loose your boat - just head South before the lake freezes!

I'm kidding, guys! Both my boats are tarped on the hard for the winter. But, I'm pretty sure our lake is still liquid, so I might take the kayak out for a New Year's paddle tomorrow! Have drysuit, will paddle!

I live in Calgary Alberta and was going to go but planes are packed and 1000 km is to far to drive in the snow

Shackleton would get out and start beating a hole ahead of the boat, with an axe.
Eat the dogs man, it won't be long..

Chris, Maybe some Billionare should start an expedition to find Shakleton's vessel and recover for an Antarctic Artifact?

Nanaimo had snow just last week, we just returned from Cowichan Bay where my father-in-law had snow on his back 40 for a few days. Disappeared by Xmas, but I saved some in the freezer. :)

Happy New Year

Florida where I'm lucky to have sailed yesterday does not get snow but my poor baby up in Montreal sure is getting her share this year. Pix taken yesterday. Happy New Year everyone

The attached photo is of two "pirates in training" and myself, sailing our Catalina 30 on New Years Day 15 km from Nanaimo.
