I just got back from a fantastic 7 day cruise in new england. Bussards bay, vinyard sound,Cape cod bay, now I'm seriously considering moving my boat up there for next season, eastern conn. or Rhode island. However I don't have a clew as to how much moorings cost, haulout expenses, winter storage ETC. Any info would be appreciated. This is for an O'Day 30 center board. 3'6" draft. Capn Jim of Que Pasa

Most moorings I looked at in CT were between 800.00 and 1200.00. I have a slip in New London with water and power for 2400.00 for a 30 Pearson. Out hall is @ 1100.00 including storage and spring return to the water. Mast removal and reinstallation in the spring is 500.00.

RI prices

In Wickford they run $1,100 per year if you store your boat here, $1,400 if you don't. Dutch harbor is $1,000 or so. RREgge

Moorings in Bristol run about $700 for a 500lb. mooring from Bristol Marine. The harbor is pretty full so you will need to rent one from either Bristol Marine, the Herreshoff Museum, or a private party. Good luck. I think you will enjoy a summer up here. Les Murray s/v Ceilidh '86 C-36 #560
