Costa Rica anyone??

I am looking for a destination for this fall or next spring on the east coast of Central America. I have ruled out the Rio Dulce...for now....and am looking at the area south of Tampico Mex or the east coast of Costa Rica maybe near Pt. Limon.

Anyone have any experience in these areas??

Haven't sailed there, but we flew in and spent a week near the Arenal Volcano relaxing at the Tabaccon Resort and Spa. The hot spring nearby was very nice. The people were very friendly. One thing I heard from fellow vacationers is that the beaches on the east side were just okay. The wildlife is phenomenal and you can have just about any "outward bound" type experience you like from horse riding, ATV's, zip lines through the trees etc...We were there during the rainy season, which mean nasty thunderstorms in the evening that were brief, but brought quite heavy rain.
