Let me ask a question about corrosion. I'm seeing corrosion on the motor mounts on my yanmar 3gm. My motor mounts are electrically isolated from the motor and boat neutral/ground. Should there be a bonding strap from the mount to the motor

It makes no difference since the mount bases are isolated from ground, I.e., there is no circuit to complete or interrupt

Corrosion is probably due to seawater from raw water pump splashing on it.

I am also seeing heavy rust flaking on my motor mounts on my 1986 H31 yanmar

my mounts started to get rusty because I had a cracked aft side of the mixing elbow and couldn't see the crack until I pulled & replaced the entire exhaust column/mixing elbow.
