Hi Bryan
The mast is easy to remove. It is held down on the deck just by the pull of
the rigging. It stands on a small lip only. You need to undo the electrics
inside and that is it. I have manage to remove the mast with a couple of
ladders and four people. If you have an A frame or tabernacle it can then
be lowered single-handed.
The combi is a very simple piece of engineering but seems to frighten most
owners. When I first bought my Vega I was terrified until I took it apart -
a piece of cake... We can supply a complete renovating kit for the combi
at £38 (Now in stock and ready to go). At the worst case you may have to
change the control tube as well (£100). The Combi kit comes complete with
full instructions and diagrams. Dont worry, it i snot rockt science.
