Help, Refitting SN 551 Hunter 23 and need either a photo or sketch of the correct schematic for the mainsheet and blocks/traveler for this boat. can't find anywhere on the web, nor in what manuals came with the boat. Until now, I've not sailed a boat w/ traveler on the mainsail and want to have it correct. Boom is the triple-reefing Kenyon unit. Best Regards, Dave

Mainsheet info...

Do you have the standard block & tackle units (I believe they're 3 sheaves per block)? I assume that your traveller bar is there in front of the hatch cover and the traveller car is there as well? My sheet goes into the lower block at a cam cleat, loops around the upper & lower sheaves from starboard to port (probably doesn't matter, as long as they're not twisted), and ends up at the padeye under the upper block. Does that do it for you? If not, I can give you a picture tomorrow. Just drop me an e-mail to: ocrc@litenet.net so I can email it to you directly. Jim Maroldo Ocean Gate, NJ

Dave: The Yacht Club at the end of Chase Street on the south end in Russells Point has 6 23s. Feel free to go there to look at the different riggings.
