correct engine size

I have a new Yamaha 4HP 4 stroke on my mariner, if I were to move up to a 22 or 23next year, would this engine be enough? I use it primarly to get in and out of the slip. Thanks

Probably Plenty

I repowered my o-22 with a Yamaha 6hp 4strk last winter and found that I could reach hull speed at about 1/2 throttle or less. Unless you have to fight some strong tidel currents, your 4hp should be adequate.
