Coronado 15 traveler Removal.

Does anyone know if the C15 traveler pole installed across the cockpit is a structural member or can be removed? My racing days are over and now just looking for a less cluttered cockpit. Thanks!!

You would think if it was structural they would have used more robust mounting points.

That’s my thought. But the plastic collars bolted to the pole do apparently provide some resistance to tacoing(engineering term) of the Hull by the tension from the shrouds. Believe me I’m all for jettisoning it. Thanks for the reply.
