tell us more - price, boat, how bad is it, etc etc though I think it is safe to say, if you are paying for an old boat that is in need of major core replacement, you are paying too much. If that's that case, the seller will have difficulty GIVING the boat away.

wet decks
Repairing wet core is not that hard, just messy and time consuming. I am just finishing an 8.5 foot section of mine. Core was soaking wet and in parts just about gone. I will be posting photos shortly. How extensive is your damage - a few sections, coach roof, whole deck? First figure out where the water got in to begin with. Wet decks mean a smaller loan to buy the boat. You could end up with something stronger than new for little money iff you are willing to do the work. There are thousands of boats out there with wet decks.
