I live near Philadelphia and dock my boat in Middle River, MD. I need to replace some lines including the jib sheet. Does anyone know where to get a reasonable deal on bulk cordage? There's a West Marine near my marina but I'm guessing that's not it. I'm not big on on-line shopping but I'm open to looking at it. Thanks

Right here on the SBO site!

Not all of your lines are the same size, so I don't know that "bulk" is your best bet.

I'm in the market as were . Colonial Beach
Shop around between West Marine, Defender, Ebay, and other places and see what comes up. You will probably find that there is a great bit of difference in the price of what you are trying to buy that way.

I'd say order from this site but if you don't want to shop online, there are a couple of places you can try. You said your near Philly, so there's a good chance you take 95 to Middle River. You can stop in to the Tidewater Marina chandlery in Havre De Grace which is on your way. It's only a few minutes from 95. If you want to drive a little further out of the way, Fawcetts in Annapolis is a nice place also. Give 'em both a call to check their prices.

Our pricing is pretty darn good and we're willing to give bulk discounts for whole spool orders as well. Give me a call for a more specific quote.

If there's a boaters world near you, they are just about out of business. I was in one by me yesterday, and they had a 500' spool of 3/8" double braid for $133 It's a lot of line, But if I had a use, I would have bought it. They had a bunch of spools of it. I think it was Yale LS. There wasn't a lot of stuff left in the store, but what was left was pretty cheap.

I echo sailing dog. Nice stuff at great prices. I think it was Maine Sail who first introduced this vendor.
