Copper stains on interior gelcoat

Leaks got into the fiberglass bins in my Hunter 37.5 galley. Copper bottom teakettle sitting in that water all winter. Now a green ring. Does anyone know what will get it out without roughing up the gelcoat?

Metal stains respond to acid (oxalic or hydrochloric). This will not harm gelcoat.
