Has facebook reported that the sailboat by the charted obstruction in Coosaw River really did not hit it and just anchored near it?

http://www.palmettohistory.org/archaeology/Coosaw River Web Page.pdf

Has he finished breakfast? Hauled in his anchor(s). We sit here waiting for real sailing report.

Is he going to follow AICW or go out into the wild blue Atlantic?

Is he going to look for alligators or dolphins?

Good morning ShoalDrifter
Not at all sure what you are getting at. anchoring would seem to be a pretty mundane thing and I'd not think it would make the "Facebook News" or go viral. Also if they did crash into it that is not much of an event either so I'm thiking it would not make the Notice to Mariners.
Could be on a personal facebook account though
Why don't you go check and keep us informed?

Bill

Bill,

Obviously he hoisted anchor and booggied at top speed up AICW. At 12:45 he was near Ross Marine [which is a repair facility and not a marina] nearing the Stono River.

Let us see if he stops at Marina at AICW and Stono River or heads into Charleston. At his speed, he must have tail wind...

The odd side of the Spot. Had a friend bringing his power boat north last spring and put on the spot, had a blog going, all that cool stuff. So the plan was to take the normal east swing at the south end of Manhatten and head for Long Island Sound. But they were running a little ahead of time and rather than fight the current they decided it would be a fine thing to run up the West Side and come back by the East River and then out. About three minutes after making that decision he got a call from his daughter-in-law who kept the Spot up all the time - She's off in Seattle understand - asking if they were all right and why did they miss the turn . . .
