There is a loop with a vent over the top of my yanmar engine that drips onto the engine. Is there a way to run this via a hose into bilge? Is it an easy fix?

Vented Loop?

Bob, this is a vented loop and should not be dripping. Contact Hunter and see what they give for advise.

Vented Loop

Hi Bob, That vented loop is a common problem. Mine leaked badly on my 340, all over the engine. Finally it broke and REALLY sprayed water. If you have the original one that's a metal U shaped piece with a white plastic valve you might want to replace the whole unit with a new one. Vetus makes a nice one that can be cut to fit many sizes of hose and can also be run off with tubing so any spray goes in the bilge. Normally there shouldn't be any water coming out though. Good luck!

Clean It

Bob, I suggest you take the top off it and clean the valve. Watch you don't loose the little spring. There is another loop behind the basin in the heads. Mine started to drip so I cleaned it. All okay now for the last 6 months. Regards.
