Anyone had issues with their water pump impeller housing dripping from the back side, or the shaft the impeller slides on. Can these be rebuilt.

yep, they can... and yours needs to be if its dripping.

the seals are readily available and easy to replace. just knock the old ones out, clean it all up, and tap the new ones in. make sure you have the lip pointing in the right direction, towards the impeller...

If you mean the shaft seal on the side toward the engine be aware that the seal is different for the Japan and the European "version" of the yanmar 3gm30f. My local yanmar shop had to do some research to get the proper seal for my "YEU" / euro version.
We are cruising but I will look for the info and post if I find it

The difference that the euro version of the Yanmar engine uses a Johnson pump. It's the same pump that is used on some Westerbeke engines. The nice thing about the Johnson pump is that instead of a paper gasket between the impeller cover and the pump body. The cover has an O ring groove. The last impeller, which is also different, that I purchased came with two O rings in the package. The impeller has a pin across the inside diameter that engages a notch in the pump shaft.

Either pump should be relatively easy to rebuild unless there is damage to,the pump shaft. Often, the root cause of the leakage is over tensioning of the drive belt

I just took another look at the photo of your pump, and it appears to have the word Sweden imprinted on it. That may be a clue as to the actual brand.

You might want to consider doing some research on raw water pumps. Most pump vendors have their diagrams online. They have seals which separate the raw water and the oil inisde the engine, and when they drip it is telling you something. That's why they call them "weep holes." You can rebuild them or replace them, your boat, your choice.
