Converting dining table to bed

Hello, I have just purchased a 2003 Hunter 44ds, Still on the hard can't wait to get it in the water, Can anyone tell me, when you push the table right down, are there any of the cushions that fit the gap to cover the table to make a double birth or do you have to have a special infill made. The last owner may have one hidden and I just haven't found it yet. At the moment the boat is about a 15 hour drive from my place so haven't had the chance to search every hiding place yet Cheers

Most all hunters come standard with that filler cushion..... Contact the previous owner and or dealer and ask them where the hell is my cushion???:cussing:
BTW.... How long did boat sit on the brokerage dock??? Things will disappear!:cussing::cussing::cussing:Your missing cushion is probably doing duty on another Hunter 44DS...

Thanks I will get the broker to e-mail them. Bit hard to find out info when they are back in Canada and I am in Australia and currently so far away from the boat, the fun of boating cheers

Here's an idea...Contact a local Hunter dealer in Australia .... Maybe for a few favors they can steal a filler cushion made with the same material off of another 44DS there. Maybe just maybe the new owner of that boat won't notice for a couple of years.
Just think some day in the future you could be rafted up next to some new sailing friends and see you the same material as there 44DS but you have a filler cushion..... And they say , hey our boat did not come with one. How did you get yours? Better have good story ready!:Liar::Liar::Liar::Liar::Liar::Liar::Liar:

At one point in time, the filler cushion for the table berth on our 35.5 was stored in the aft cabin, with velcro attachments to the forward bulkhead. You may have a similar situation. Just a thought as a place to start the search.

You could contact the dealer or broker to check and see if it isin the boat or next time are at the boat do more checking for it.
But I am sure Hunter would be able to help you with replacing if really needed,it most likely is hiding some place on the boat in a big boat like the 44ds.

In our case it was a simple matter of out of sight out of mind. The previous owners never used the table bed and so had put the filler cushions in thei storage locker and completely forgot about it. We contacted them through the broker a month later asking them if they could remember the cushions, which jogged their memory to its location and presto, our cushions arrived in a few days. They are now covered with a dust cloth and in our storage area, where we will likely forget about them also

As an aside, even with the cushion, you will find the dinette bed slightly uneven. We found using an air mattress, with or without the cushions, significantly improves the comfort level.
