My vega has been retrofitted to a Yanmar 1GM10 with fixed blade prop. The P.O. set it up using the factory throttle / feathering prop control as a shift lever only, with a separate pull lever located behind the tiller arm as a throttle. This presents quite a challenge while docking, as shifting and throttle are independent controls.
For ease of use, I would like a single lever control for shift and throttle (combined into one lever - similar to the old mercruiser powerboat throttle assemblies). I would like to simply replace the old shifter with a new assembly.
