Hi all, What is the actual dry construction weight of a Pearson 323? What I am thinking here is the actual weight of the boat when hanging in the slings. I know that many travel lifts measure the weight of the boat when it is lifted. Has anyone ever gotten this information? I know what the designed displacement is supposed to be. I need to know the actual weight for transporting the boat.

All depends....

The design weight as listed on brochures is 12800 lbs. It gets heavier after equipment gets added. I've managed to sink my 323 about 1.5" due to house batteries, radar, anchors, ground tackle and the likes. Some 323s had a water package that could hold about 100 gallons or about 460?lbs. The fuel tank holds 30gals. Anchor chain ba be as much as 1.25#/ft. etc. etc.etc. I would roughly calculate my boat at about 14,000 or slightly more loaded up.
