we have owned our 49 since early 2019 and have done close to 30k nm now including a full circumnavigation of Atlantic, UK, the Med and Caribbean, next year the South Pac awaits. I have nothing bad to say about her, we love her, she hasn't missed a beat. we've recently bought new sails and new rigging in Malta before crossing again and then other minor usual maintenance but she's been so easy to look after. the 49 is a beautifully balanced yacht to sail with a huge quality inventory like the mamba steering only found on boats like HR, Najaads etc.
we have sailed her double handed the whole way and with my wife not really being a sailor live in the cockpit on passages. the cockpit feels so safe with the high seat backs. entertaining on Anchor always ends up on our boat because of her size, this can sometimes be a down side
heaps of storage. I'm actually sitting here struggling to come up with negatives. here's one, I wish they'd installed a thrust bearing as standard, especially as most 49s were upgraded to the 110hp.
the galley is the best I've seen and used. I could go on but any questions I'm more than happy to answer.
