Hi all...I'm considering installing an Acugage 4 tank monitor for my holding tank and water tank (maybe my fuel tank also). Just wondering if anyone has experience with these products and could give me some feedback. Thank in advance.

I have used both the two tank monitor version and now the ultra 8 version. I had one of the first sending units that went into a metal tank and it worked perfect. Great people to work with and a good product. Would be glad to sell you my old two tank panel for a fair price. It is a special version of the four tank panel. It is marked for a waste tank and a water tank. I changed to the ultra 8 version when I changed to a larger holding tank. The old unit has Empty, 1/4 Full, 1/2 Full, 3/4 Full, and Full. If your tanks are 15 gallons or less, this is fine. However, when you go to 25 gallon or larger tanks, then you need more points on the scale.

Fuel guage

Check your port aft locker. You should already have a fuel guage there.

Jim, thanks for the pics!

This is shaping up to be a bigger job than I had originally planned. The pics really help me visualize the whole thing, so thanks again. Still not sure how I would run the wires, but, I have some time to think about it.

the water tank

I have a 94 29.5. If you lift up the cushions in the V berth, then remove the access hatch you will see the water tank.

Works okay, but not great

I installed this type of gauge on the fresh water tank (v-berth) and holding tank (aft). Pretty good results with the fresh water reading, but not perfect. I just calibrated it to tell me about the last 1/2 as I was unable to get it calibrated for the whole range of full to empty. I've had zero luck on getting a reading on the holding tank. As to running wires I had just completed running them for the windlass I installed, so these wires seemed easy to run throughout the boat to the nav station as compared to 00 gauge cables from bow to stern.
