Offduty I have a 08 41ds and was ready to purchase the Mantus 65, then was scared off by fears of overloading the SL windlass, so I have been thinking the Mantus 55 and 100' chain, with a Fortress fx-37 as backup (already own). I would love to hear your opinion/experience to date with your 65. Thanks

I was under the impression that the Bulwagga was designed for weedy bottoms?
Yes, it was designed for that by a sailor up in the Great Lakes, but it sets better than any anchor our there in any kind of bottom. It also has really good holding power. Shame Lewmar bought the patent and refuses to make them -- so you can't buy them now. I have been using mine for 10 years now and fulltime for 4 years now.

We have a 65lb. Mantus on our bow! Our Maxwell 800 has no problem pulling it up. And it holds our 1991 Hunter 42 Passage great!
