Connector for large white cable at Mast Step

I cannot get access to the connector for the large white cable at the mast step of my C315. I believe that it carries the wires for the wind instrument and also the radar. My goal is to inspect and clean this connector without having to take down the mast. I have pulled on the cable every which way and cannot even see the connector that I believe must be there. Does anyone know the trick?

Usually on deck stepped masts, the connectors are in the bottom of the mast and not accessible except by lifting the mast off the deck. Some folks cut an oblong hole in the mast to get at connectors and stuff. That must be very carefully done to not weaken the mast. The hole has to be fitted with a cover.

There are access ports with covers built into the mast. I can reach the connector for the lights. But, not the white cable I need.
