Now that I have ordered the Ullman cruising offshore spinnaker (with snuffer sock) from Catalina Direct, how can one attach the spinnaker tack to the bow stem?
My intention is to have something that allows me quickly to raise and dowse the sail in PHRF races while sailing short-handed. So I do NOT want to use something like the spinnaker tacker (http://catalinadirect.com/index.cfm/pro ... -to-33.cfm).
The Cruising Spinnaker Retractable Bowsprit Kit (http://catalinadirect.com/index.cfm/pro ... it-kit.cfm) is on the wish list, but probably not for this year.
I am using Harken's recommendations for an asymmetrical spinnaker (http://www.harken.com/content.aspx?id=3913)
• two Harken 2680 75 mm Ratchamatic® Swivel Blocks (http://www.harken.com/productdetail.aspx?sku=2680)
• one Harken 2148 40 mm T2 Loop Soft-Attach Block (http://www.harken.com/productdetail.aspx?sku=2148) attached to the tack.
