Hey gang,

Im looking to explore the coast of Connecticut this weekend and was wondering if anyone new of any sweet anchorages or mooring spots. So far i'm leaning towards the Thimble Islands. My home port Is Northport by the way.

Hey,

There are lots and lots of places to see. Are you looking for peace and quiet, a party scene, interesting places ashore, or ??
Norwalk CT is close to Northport. The islands there are pretty. The Thimbles are further away and also very nice. Milford CT is a great town, etc.

I can second Milford, nice town within walking distance. Good anchorage at Charles Island just outside the harbor entrance.

Stonington is very nice...so is Royaton, although it is a fairly busy harbor....Great restaurants/taverns, etc. in both with very
friendly folks to entertain you.... Wickford, RI is nice too.
