Nice, Jack, good work (or fun, too!!!). Now all you have to do is get an avatar as nice as Kermit's and you'll be in business.
there needs to be more sea scouts programs around the country even in the inland freshwater lake areas it is very good training and also helps the kids find some direction and it can also include you men and women in their junior high schools years ...i think they still call it junior high school....

We've had a great year, and Bayfield Race Week was an awesome (1-1-1-1-1=1) regatta for us.
As per our program goals, we were 4 old-timers (adult supervision) and 5 high school and college sailors (young guns) and the mix was perfect. We love our kids, and they can flat out sail. I remember a being a reporter and a photographer there, and they talked to us for quite a while (OK , mostly with Pia, the real brains and beauty of Team Kestrel) during and after the regatta. I heard the story might make it into the mag, but had no idea when or where. I actually have not see it yet.
PS Stu - No chance besting the frog!

Just saw the piece in Sailing; very nice spread on Bayfield and Bayfield Race Week. The Chamber of Commerce is going to love it. It does a good job of talking about the area and racing there in general. It IS the preeminent regatta on Lake Superior; any boat that races shows. Sadly the big race picture was taken at the last windward during the long run back into town and the finish. We're in the pic, but in that angle being in the lead is a disadvantage.
I appreciate the compliments. But really, Phil's is the best. And by the best I mean I'm not about to tell him a little green frog is better or mightier than a battleship.
Sailing emailed me a image of the story. Figured it was cheaper than sending me a copy of mag!
