My 1999 H260 is on the hard for bottom paint, and i need to drop the board for repair, checking the bolt, replace up haul line, reseal the compression post and seal (major leak)

Any thoughts on a bottom paint that is good for prolonged stays on the trailer, I'm not going to put the boat back in the water for a while.

I need to give the boat yard complete details on how to accomplish all this, anyone know where intstructions exist on this site

I also noticed i have no rubber seal between the water ballast drain plate and hull. Has anyone ordered one from this site?

Many thanks in advance.

Larry ;

are you talking about the seal that is on the round plate underneath the hull where the water ballast enters. It is a noephrene gasket glued on to that plate with 5200 marine selanat.

Is there bottom paint already on the hull or is it bare of anti fouling paint.

The line for the centerboard is 7/16. Do not and I repeat do not allow any yard to buy the line unless you provide it to insure it is 7/16 as 1/2 will cause a lot of problems. As for the other part of the line, buy 20 feet of 3/8 line. Do not let anyone else say otherwise as I wrote the book on this.

I wrote the book on this.
Is it available in paperback? Maybe George Clooney can play you when it's made into a major motion picture. I just hope the N. Koreans don't threaten to attack VA when it is released.

On the paint since yhou do not know which brand, do a test patch to make sure it will be compatible. As for the neophrene, you can get it at any automotive but the thichest is best. If the boat is lifted up, then maybe dropping the entire unit out. Do not worry as the rod is a single piece only welded to that circular plate. Otherwise you will have to cut to put it on the plate.
