Hunter 35.5 Legend Blind River
Hello all
I have recently purchased my legend and after great effort and time i managed to get the cng tank refilled. I have been told that a lot of hunter owners that had C N G cooking system have converted to propane. I am looking for a spare bottle to keep filled and in reserve. Any help is appreciated.

Legend 35 owner here.

In Ontario (Kingston in particular), is was getting harder and harder to find a place to fill. I used to go to Ottawa, but the place I went to there closed a year or two ago.

I converted to propane this spring. A modest effort, and not too cheap, but lots of piece of mind about ease of re-fills.

Anyway ... I have a tank, hoses, spare valve that I'd sell off. Which "Blind River" do you live in? The one in Ontario?

You can get both the bottles and the gas at Pearson's Fuel Dock, on Shelter Island in San Diego, California. I am in Tampa, Florida now and have yet to find a supplier.

Make an adapter

to convert from left hand thread bottles to gas station quick connect. CNG is about $0.70 a "20 hour" bottle at the pump.
you can get everything from the internet just make sure it is all rated for 4000+ psi

Bill, the pictures are fine but could you post a list of the various parts that we would need to locate to make this adapter.
I already have an old CNG pressure regulator that I can salvage parts from.
There are several locations on Long Island that sell CNG for motor fuel but you need to set up an account with them first.

I'm on a Catalina 36 and 'inherited' it's Gas Systems Inc. (mfr by Seaward) CNG cooking system. I've emailed the Rep for Seaward, but have yet not received a response. Do you know of a resource for the conversion kit or it's components?
