Last year I found a website that had a comprehensive listing of marinas on US waterways, including rivers. I can't remember what that site was and I need some info on the Cumberland River between Nashville and Lake Barkley. Can anyone point me toward a good source of information?

Aha! Active Captain was the site I was thinking of. I'll check out Waterway Guide and Marinas.com as well.

We cruise 5000 miles a year and find many many errors in the hazzard markers. We've also run aground several times where anchorages were reported to have 8' min depth. It has become a tower of babel as every tom dick and harry wants to get their 2 cents in.

I use active captain a lot! Like you I have a trailer sailboat and I use active captain to research new stoppin' grounds. I don't think "gettinther's" concerns apply to you since you can roll up you keel and draw 4" if you need to.
Read the reviews and don't simply rely on the number of stars a marina has. Some people will give it low marks because of a specific need they had that was not met and I have found that does not always apply to trailer sailors. Once you find a marina that you think will suite your needs, go to the website of the marina (click the more info link) and inquire about a launch ramp... and also ask the marina about parking your tow vehicle and trailer.

I use Active Captain and find it pretty reliable. I used it extensively this fall on my trip from KY Lake to Southwest Florida. The marinas for your route are shown in Active Captain. Just trace your route, note the mile marker and you will have a good list.
