Liberty Bay Was A Zoo!
Fred - I've been trying to "get out of Dodge", er, Poulsbo, for the past several days but due to reasons beyond our control we were here for the 3rd (when Poulsbo celebrates the 4th of July - hey! No Norwegian jokes please!). The bay was totally jambed full with visiting boats and with what looked like no swinging room. I don't know how they did it - it was absolutely wall-to-wall boats. I wanted to take some pictures but I couldn't find a good spot to get one and with just a partial shot there was no way a picture would do it justice. Not only that, but Liberty Bay is nortorious as a place to drag anchor and many of these boats, I'm sure, had undersized ground tackle. I went to our marina today and asked a few people if there were any problems but nobody knew of any. Sounds like dumb luck.Read my lips: Tomorrow morning we get out of Dodge!!! How's that for optimism?Sorry for being "off topic" but "blame" Fred - he asked the question!!
