Compass repair

Anyone know of a compass repair person or company, close to the Westchester or Rockland County New York area?. I don't want to ship it. Some one close to the Hudson River would be great. NY, NJ, or Connecticut would be OK. The compass glass seems to be fogged. Thanks

I don't know of anybody that could fix a fogged glass. Is it plastic? If it is plastic you may wish to try one of the head light polishing kits you can get from an auto store. Any rate post it on the ask all sailors and you will get a much broader response. Best of luck.

Thanks, I'll see if I can get it apart without destroying it. Ernie
