I am replacing an old leaky Danforth Compass, that apparently can't be refilled, and ordered a new compass from West Marine. The compass that I received , a Danforth Corsair IV, has a bubble in it about the size of a half a dollar. This surprised me, I expected no bubble at all. The question is: is a bubble acceptable in a new compass?
