Hi All.......... I have a 1979 27' Catalina. I am looking for the teak wood holder for the Compass. This item is mounted in the cockpit on the (obviously) exterior slanted fiberglas panel several inches to the right of the cabin entryway. We bought the boat used and the present holder is weather-beaten and quite cracked. The compass is a RITCHIE Model SFB60 (as best I can make out). Serial Number A77, or A79, or A71. It's old. The wood mount has a 4 1/2" diameter opening into which the compass fits and is angled so the compass fits basically in the holder horizontally (again obviously). Anyone know where this Ritchie Compass holder can be ordered? Thanks for your aid. Jim

Compass mount

I believe you can buy these from West Marine (I remember seeing them *somewhere*) but they're pretty spendy. I needed one but luckily have skilled woodworking family members. Just had to give them the old one for reference & some new Iroko wood (very similar to teak but 10 times cheaper). LaDonna
