Compass for Oday 22.

Hi folks, was wondering what compass's you Oday owners have used to replace the one that came on the boat. I have a 75 Oday 22, I like the one one it, however it has so many cracks in the lens to see well. What do you use, I want to keep it in the same location, starboard bulkhead. Thanks in advance! Bulkhead Compasses

Hi Jack; Several marine compass companies make bulkhead mounded units with backlighting options. Check out any marine store for these products. They also feature a heel angle for us sailors as well as 45 degree angle rumb lines for reading at an angle. They aren't that costly. I replcaed the one I had on my 22 and had to build out the face of the bulkhead to account for the increased depth that the newer unit had. It was that or polk a hole through into the cabin.
