Hi, the compass on our new-to-us boat does not have a cover. It as an Aquameter Gemini, 80's vintage. It works great, no bubles, dome is clear so not looking to replace it. I am looking for a cover for this unit as the mfg indicates it is discontinued and no longer available. Does anyone have one of these lying around? Thanks in advance, David

Makeshift cover

I took a sail on a vintage Chris Craft 35 once, and the bright work on it was just beautiful. The owner had homemade covers for his compass and knotmeter. They were made from old plastic jars with screw top lids. The jars were opague to block the UV rays. The lids were fastened to the bulkhead. The jars unscrewed to use the instruments, and then screwed back on for protection af his goods.
