Compas Fluid

My Compass on my steering pedestal has a leak and all the fluid has leaked out. What do I do

Depends on how old it is

If it's not too old and from a major manufacturer, such as Ritchie, you can send it in and they will rebuild it. Mine had a cracked dome, but was older than what they stocked parts for. There have been some other, recent postings on this same subject.

Compass repair

As Bob said, if it's a crappy old compass, replace it. If it's a decent compass, take it to a compass repair shop. Where might you find one, you ask? There's a place here in Portland that repairs watches, clocks, etc and they do compasses as well. Call around - someone might know where to take it.LaDonna
