Does anyone know the companionway width at the top of the hatch boards for a 260? My boat is not near my house (a couple of hours away) and I need to order some sunbrella fabric.

Thanks for the help

A question?

Dave,
Are you asking for the opening size at the top of the doorway?
My boat is a half hour away, but I'll be going to her some time this week.
Just let me know what you need.

opening size

I need the opening size of the area where the hatch boards are (hight and width of the top and bottom if possible) I need to get Isinglass and a zipper to make a comer for the opening so I can have easy access to the cabin when the air conditioner is on and something that will install and store with ease. I figure I can use the existing snaps for the companionway cover to secure it.
Thanks

Here you go...

Went out to the boat and wrote down the dimensions while I was there. It's a complex opening with angles on both sides and canted inward so I hope you can decipher my measurements. Seems like you asking for the top & bottom board sizes for canvas so maybe this'll do, here goes...

Top hatch board slat:
30 7/8" across the top, (side to side)
28 3/4" across the bottom
6 1/2" tall

Bottom hatch board slat:
22 7/8" across the top
18 7/8" across the bottom
11 1/2" tall

Companionway opening dimensions(measuring the channel that the slats set in):
Port side channel= 34 3/4"
stbd side channel= 35 1/2"
the port side is angled outward about 5 degress from bottom to top.
the stbd side is about angled about 15 degrees outward
Bottom width is approx 12"
top width is approx32"

Good luck. Hope you have what you need. Michael

Here's our canvas

Simply sunbrella material sewn by Kelli to loosely snap over the whole opening. When the AC is in place I just unsnap the bottom two snaps and it lays over the unit. No leaks to date. I usually just take the cover completely off (or just fold it back to shade the top) if I'm on the boat going in/out of the hatch.
