Companionway Hatch

I need to replace the 1/2" thick sliding Plexiglass cover on the companionway of our H33. Local plastics company wants $150 for the flat plate, $100 to put the curve in it, and $300 for a mold for the curve. Wow! Can anyone point me in a better direction? I could make do with a flat piece, but the curve sure makes it look better. Thanks.

I just replace the companionway hatch on my Legend 37. I purchased a piece of plexi which was tinted a smoke color. The size was about 3' by 4' by 1/2"(I don't remember the exact size). The price was about $85.00.I called some local plastic distributors in my area and found one that was reasonable. For that price they beveled the edges and delivered to my office.If it was clear plexi it would have been half the price, per the plastics distributor. Keep checking around, it is expensive but there are places where you can get it at reasonable pricing.
