I currently do not own a Catalina (although I once owned a Catalina 22 for many years) but maybe you can help me solve a problem. I recently bought a used Columbia 8.7 with a wooden companionway hatch. The hatch is rotten and beyond repair. I contacted several sailboat manufacturers about purchasing a replacement fiberglass sliding hatch. Only 1 manufacturer - Catalina - responded in a positive way. Kent Nelson of Catalina told me that if I knew which model Catalina had the hatch size I needed then he could sell me one. So my question for you Catalina owners is this: Do any of your Catalina sliding companionway hatches measure 40 inches long and 35 to 36 inches wide?
