companionway entrance

I am in need of a new companionway entrance cover as mine was very poorly made and does not fit properly it appears to be home made plexiglass that has been tinted with the tint paper from cars(yuk) so trying to make one from that pattern is out. can any one tell me where I could purchase a new one. Hatch Boards?

Are you in need of new hatch boards? Several optionsThere are companies -- one in the HOW chandlery I think -- that will measure for you and make the swinging doors that are popular.Otherwise make a pattern out of card board and make your own. One of my projects to replace the middle (of 3) hatch boards. It is some type of plastic, but it is old and scratched form being roughly handled. I am trying to find out how hard it is to cut lexan, since it is bullet proof.The edges of the boards need to slope so away from the cabin to shed water (like a shingle).Good Luck
