Here is a resource I have explored.
Such doors are very convenient. They are not considered as safe in open water as “HatchBoards”.

I made this one w/ cabinet grade plywood and lots of varnish. Easy, works, matches interior wood (Teak), and yes when the Wx gets nasty they get replaced with the plexiglass boards.
A normal adult can slide thru the hole left if you leave the bottom h260 panel out. or use front hatch. hmmmm. on my h260 even the bench hatch might be usable for exit. A
