We are finally leaving from ATlantic City, Nj toward the Flrida Keys and hopefully Bahamas..We are looking for reasonable cell phone with good reception ...also lap top info for e-mail and inter net serviceAny help greatly appreciated ..hope to see you in Florida this year... Deb W

Drop us an email if you get down this far. I find ATT Wireless works pretty well up and down the Keys with only a few dark spots. Lots of fishing guides use it for communication among themselves out to and beyond the reef. Don't know about wireless internet access.

If you can find one....

Uniden made millions of "Bag phones" years ago which are now usually found in the dump or in piles at the cell phone stores. These dc bag phone operated on 3 watts instead of the 1 watt or 1/3 watt disposable phones wea re using now. Much more power and usually the stores will give em to you to get rid of them.
