Any thoughts on the size of fenders that should be used on this 18,000 lb displacement boat?

In theory, I should use a 5/8" mooring line but I think the Admiral would be more comfortable handling a 1/2" line.

Any ideas on the best mounting techniques for picture frames on the bulkheads.

If you can get any 12" fenders, those would be my choice. I've piloted similar boats in the past and that's what we used.

I like the Taylor Made Big B Inflatable, they reccomend 10" x 26" for a 39'.

I would think the 1/2" would a bit small for your boat, it's what I use on ours and I wouldn't htink it would have enough stretch for your size of boat. I don't see that the 5/8" would be too much to handle. It's not all that much bigger.

If need be use the 1/2 line for the initial tie up and then later switch to 5/8 inch. And since you will be doing the tie up go with a 3/4 inch line. Fenders (imho) should be 8 inch min but 12 is better.Larger is alway better when it comes to these type things (lines and fenders) As far as mounting pictures frames on bulheads you can use heavy duty velcro on all fours side. or some of the new "peel and stick" type pictures hooks but mount it so it will not slide from side to side.

I use the black ones for pictures (white for many other uses) and have never had one fall off in my 9 years of use. They peel off the woodwork with no adhesive left behind and leave no marks or indications they were ever there.

These have a lot of uses around the boat. The red ones are supposed to be even stronger, but I have not used them. If I did, I would test a small piece before use since they could pull the veneer off if they are as strong as it indicates they are.

Canuck, if this is a new Hunter it should come with fenders and lines already? Supposedly they come "ready to sail". I would expect that the boat will come with 5/8" mooring lines. We used a combination of hook and loop and removable tape mounting systems. For light stuff and to keep pictures from moving we also use "sticky tack". Works great. However I have heard some people say it stains the wood work. I have not seen it happen though.
