I have only been able to sailed our 2006, Capri 22 three times, before the end of the season came, but so far it has exceeded my expectations! Although I only had light wind, I am amazed how well it sails and glided along. I can't wait until we use the Spinnakers! While de-rigging the boat for the off season, several members of our club were very curious about the boat and gave it admiring looks and comments. The "Mast Rising System," which I replicated from another manufacture, worked as planned, I'll send pictures when the complete system is finished.
Now two questions:
1. Do you use your Whisker or Spinnaker Pole when sailing Wing on Wing?
2. Our boat has two small "Eyelets" P/S on the mast, about 7 feet above the deck. I think our boat's "Build Sheet," indicated that our boat included a Transom Mast Crutch, Bow Support and maybe a Mast Rising System. Did Catalina provide a "MRS" for the Capri 22? If they did provide a "MRS," could the Eyelets in question, be for "Baby Stays" to stabilize the Mast when using the "MRS?"
